BIS Organizes Sensitization Programme for Rural Development Officials in Jalandhar

On the instructions of Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development), Jalandhar, Sh. Budhiraj Singh, the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Jammu and Kashmir Branch Office (JKBO) organized a Sensitization Programme for the Heads of Rural Development departments in Jalandhar district. The event was held at the Meeting Hall of the DC Office, Jalandhar, with the objective of enhancing awareness about standard formulation, the adoption of Indian Standards (IS), and the procurement of ISI-marked products in the Rural Development sector. The programme was chaired by ADC Development, Jalandhar, who emphasized the importance of standardization in developmental projects. He commended BIS initiatives, including the BIS Care App, which facilitates consumers in verifying product authenticity and raising complaints regarding substandard goods.
